District Missionary Leslie Adams - Bio Bishop G.E. Patterson Memorial District District Missionary Leslie Adams was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee where her mother taught her to be independent and that her life has value and purpose. At an early age she would allow Leslie to pay her bills so she would be responsible, and it is no surprise she now has an accounting degree. She was raised in a Methodist church as a child but at the age of 18 she visited a COGIC church where the pastor was the late Presiding Bishop G. E. Patterson and wanted to join church that Sunday. Leslie Joined and worshiped there for 11 years where her spiritual foundation was laid. Bishop Patterson heard that she had an accounting background and wanted to know what it would take for her to leave her secular job working in the Trust Department of Union Planters bank, to come and run his accounting department. She could not turn down the opportunity to work in ministry as she felt a strong call to do so. In addition, to updating the books for Temple of Deliverance she was also asked to be the Accountant for Bountiful Blessings Ministries, the WBBP radio station as well as the Christian Academy. The CPA’s informed Bishop Patterson Leslie was the best Accountant he had ever hired. Leslie earned an associates of Applied Sciece degree in Accounting and a concentration in Administrative Support, on a full scholarship from Shering Plough Inc. in Memphis, Tennessee. Leslie currently works fulltime at Wellstar Hospital System, where she has served as the Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Accounting and two promotions later, she is currently assisting the Vice President of Operations and the Chief Nursing Officer in Administration at the largest facility in the system.
